Jeng’s Shokoy: Available in Shell Magallanes! :)

Who doesn’t like okoy? Even if you haven’t tried it, you’re bound to like it once you get a taste of it. This deep-fried fritter just goes so well with vinegar. 😝 😆 You can eat it alone or with rice. It goes a long way.

There are a lot of okoy varieties. The most common ones are pretty thick. Hence, you get a patty of unshelled shrimps combined with some shredded vegetables. More often than not, these kinds of okoy are not crunchy. For some time, that’s how I thought okoy should be until a friend of mine had me taste Jeng’s Shokoy.

Just when I thought okoy was okay, I tasted Jeng’s Shokoy. This was no ordinary okay. For starters, Jeng’s Shokoy is deep-fried to perfection. Every bit of it melts in your mouth. Even those tiny shrimps melt in your mouth.
