Mamou Restaurant is one of those places we would frequent way before the onset of the craziness of the world. Needless to say, it took us some time to go back. What better reason to go back to but to celebrate a birthday, right?

Mamou Restaurant Menu

One of the reasons why would frequent Mamou restaurant in the past was because of their steaks.

They weren’t bad at all and were quite affordable.

They weren’t bad at all and were quite affordable.

This is coming from a mom who would rather buy prime beef cuts in the supermarket and cook them at home.

So after years of not visiting Mamou restaurant, we had to have their steak on our list of orders.

Since I’ve stopped stocking up on beef and pork at home, my family was in for revenge.

I immediately ordered their Wawa’s Prime Rib.

Mamou’s Wawas Prime Rib. is slow-roasted and comes with Yorkshire pudding.

For some strange reason, I thought that was the one we used to order before.

Well, I was wrong but my family appreciated it. There were no complaints about it but it was not enough.

The 400g of Wawa’s Prine Rib was just not enough for my steak-deprived family.

Hence, we ordered the Angus Ribeye (single).

We opted for creamy spinach and mashed potatoes as side dishes with the Angus Ribeye.

This creamy spinach side dish goes so well with their bread.

We didn’t have to wait too long for our orders. Hence, we didn’t overeat the bread. We actually had some with our orders.

We also ordered some salad. I think it was Caesar Salad since that is the only salad my son eats.

I was quite excited to try their Shroom Burger.

Another standard order of ours is their Lorenzo Truffle Pasta.

My Take On The Mamou Steak

After years of not eating in Mamou, my tribe was still pretty happy with Mamou’s Angus Ribeye USDA Prime Grade Steak.

They were also pretty satisfied with Mamou’s Wawas Prime Rib.

My son ordered it medium rare and he had no complaints about it.

They gobbled up the Wawas Prime Rib before I could even blink.

Obviously, the Wawa’s Prime Rib was not enough so I ordered Angus Ribeye USDA Prime Grade Steak.

Again, there were no complaints from my tribe. They loved both the Wawa’s Prime Ribe and Angus Ribeye.

So, here’s my take on the Mamou steak. For me, it’s worth it.

Of course, it’s not something that we will eat every day but it completely satisfies craving.

The steak is tender, juicy, and very tasty. 👍👍👍

I’m quite impressed that Mamou streak has maintained its quality over the years.👍

Aside from the steak, it’s also a thumbs up for their Caesar Salad.

Their Lorenzo Truffle Pasta was still good, I just wished it was heated up a bit more.

It was my first time ordering their Shroom Burger and sad to say, I won’t order it again. It just didn’t come up to meet my expectations. The patty was just too crumby.

But other than that, I would say that Mamou restaurant is worth a trip, especially if you want to celebrate a birthday or a special occasion for that matter. 😁

Aside from the food, their customer service is also worth mentioning. Their food attendants (Victor, Richard, JK, and Sheila) are top-notch! With their solid menu knowledge and personalized customer service, I really wouldn’t mind going back.

Mamou Branches In QC

We used to frequent Mamou in BGC but that was before when we didn’t mind driving all the way there.

Since we live in QC, we opted for a branch nearby.

We thought their branch in Gateway would be open but we were wrong. So, we ended up in Mamou Prime in Podium.

Soon, we will have a Mamou nearby in QC since their Gateway branch is about to open.
