Lei’s Lumpia is fresh lumpia and it has its own distinct taste. From the wrapper to the filling to the sauce, Lei’s Lumpia is truly unique.😁

First of all, the wrapper is not too thin and not too thick. It’s just right and it tastes really good. It doesn’t overpower the whole lumpia.

You get some extra sauce but you won’t really be needing it since there’s already some sauce in the lumpia, making it very moist.

Lei’s Lumpia is very generous with its sauce. You’ll get some extra sauce but their lumpia filling is already mixed with a lot of sauce.

Hence, you can eat as it is or with some extra sauce. In my opinion, it already tastes pretty good without the extra sauce. 👍

The original store was in Quiapo. During the 60s, one lumpia cost PHP1.50. This is according to a 69-year-old loyal fan of Lei’s Lumpia.

According to him, he and his friends would drop by Globe Lumpia House in Quiapo frequently to enjoy some lumpia.

They were in high school at that time. To save some money, they would devour two lumpias to keep them going for the whole day.

To this day, he is still enjoying it. Lucky for him, he does not have to travel to Quiapo anymore since Lei’s Lumpia is just in Project  2, Quezon City.

One piece of fresh lumpia from Lei’s Lumpia now costs PHP 34.
