One Of The Most Affordable Restaurants in Tagaytay For Family
Pocholo’s is one of the most affordable restaurants in Tagaytay for family. It’s no wonder, the place was pretty full.
Big groups were dropping by, enjoying the scenery and the food.
We looked at the menu and thought the prices were not bad at all.
But then, it’s hard to gauge the prices if you haven’t seen the servings, right?
So, we ordered. We went for their shrimp pasta and pinakbet.

I know, it’s a strange combination but it’s just the way it is.
For dessert, we ordered turon.

While waiting for our order, we were served some popcorn.

Our verdict on our order? So affordable and good!
I was surprised with their shrimp pasta. I thought I was just going to get a small order of it but when it came, it was a plateful of savory pasta that did not skimp on shrimps.
I couldn’t even taste the pinakbet after. Considering the price and the generous serving, I hit the jackpot with my shrimp pasta.
The feedback on the pinakbet was pretty good as well. And it was generously served. Their serving is pretty good for two people.
The turon? Well, we couldn’t finish it so we had it wrapped for to-go. My son ate it in the car and he was quite happy with it.
By the looks of it, I believe him.
Pocholo’s Cafe And Grill Tagaytay Menu
Pocholo’s offers more than turon, pinakbet, and shrimp pasta. Their menu boasts an all-day breakfast, which includes tapa and daing na bangus.
Most of their dishes are basically from the local cuisine like tapa and tawilis.
You can also enjoy some of their coffee. it’s perfect with their cakes and pastries.
There’s no need for you to move to another restaurant for dessert. You can stay in Pocholo’s to have a full-course meal and enjoy the amazing view.
Definitely Worth A Trip
Nowadays, it’s no joke to go out of town. Let’s face it. The cost of fuel is soaring. And it’s almost more practical to stay home.
However, we did decide to visit Tagaytay since we had to make an all-of-a-sudden trip to Cavite for my son’s tournament.
So, we took advantage of that opportunity to drive a little further to try out Pocholo’s.
How did we hear about it? Well, Pocholo’s is named after Captain Poch Fernando.

He flew for Air Philippines and Philippines Airlines. Hence, word got around in the aviation community that he had a resto in Cavite.
That’s what got us to drive there and try it out.
Being the humble man that he always is, Captain Fernando credits the success of the resto to his wife.
Pocholo’s is definitely worth the trip. The food, customer service, and amazing view make up for the long drive from Quezon City.
