Holidays are over! It’s time to stow the tree and clean up the ref as well. If there’s one thing you surely have a lot of right now is ham. The good news is that you can always make some pasta with leftover ham.😀

The Versatility Of Ham

Ham is so versatile. You can eat it as it is. You can even eat it with some bread or rice.

If your Christmas ham has been reduced to scraps, you can still make good use of it.  Simply add them to some pasta noodles and voila! You have an instant meal of pasta with leftover ham.

How About Some Pasta With Leftover Ham?

A couple of weeks after Christmas, I was still struggling to find space in our refs. Instead of looking for space, I figured it would be less stressful to make good use of all the leftovers. And I did. 😀

What was once the leg of ham was finally just scraps. I took a look at the scraps and thought of mixing them with some pasta noodles

I didn’t exactly have a recipe for it. There was a couple of basic stuff in the kitchen like olive oil and garlic. I figured that could get me going and it did.

Before I go on, I want to make it clear that my culinary skills are very limited. I can hardly cook and if I want to whip up something in the kitchen, it’s pretty much just for my own consumption.

Hence, my pasta with leftover ham was just pretty much for me to enjoy.

I was surprised that my kids ate it. So, I figured I’d share it here.😁

Ingredients Of My Pasta With Leftover Ham

Here are the ingredients for my pasta with leftover ham. I don’t exactly have any measurements since I don’t measure anything when I’m cooking; unless I am following a recipe. 🙂 That’s what I call cooking with conviction. 😉

Below is the list of ingredients:

Ham scraps (I ended up not using all the scraps since my kids might look for some ham. Do you know how it is when everybody starts looking for the one food that’s about to go? But when it was abundant, no one wanted to eat it. 🙂)

Garlic (I love chopping garlic. ❤️ I usually use one whole garlic)

Leftover queso de bola (I started grating it but got too lazy at some point. So, I crumbled it into pieces. I figured it would melt.)
Ladroma’s Chili Sauce (Why not … I figured!)
Olive oil (as always!)

Three main ingredients of my pasta with leftover ham.
This garlic chili sauce from Ladroma’s is highly recommended. 👍

I put some olive oil in a pan. Waited for it to heat up. Then added the garlic and ham.

Careful not o burn the garlic.

Once you think the garlic and ham are heated up pretty well, you can add the cheese and the pasta noodles. Once you have mixed everything up, add some of the garlic chili sauce. Just gauge it according to your taste

That’s it! That’s my pasta with leftover ham. 😍 Nothing fancy but it was definitely more than edible. We actually liked it.
