Almost all our traditional Filipino well-loved recipes are best eaten with different preferred “sawsawan” (dipping sauce) that make the dishes all the more delicious and increases our appetite for the food. ARCOS Special Bagoong is one of these yummy “sawsawan.”
Condiments are present in every Filipino home here and abroad. Our pantry is filled with bottles and gallons of patis (fish sauce), toyo (soy sauce), vinegar, ketchup, and a variety of bagoong (shrimp paste).
To add more flavors to the aforesaid basic sauces, we can never run out of calamansi, red and green chilis, garlic, and onion. The appropriate dipping sauce depends on the type of meal.

Ginisang Bagoong Alamang Tops The List
While there are many ways to prepare the Filipino style of dipping sauces, my favorite of all is the ginisang bagoong alamang.
There are many new brands available in the supermarket and I have tried the different brands and variants (regular, sweet, spicy, with garlic bits, etc.) but I am most inclined to consume the homemade bagoong that my officemate sells which is a passed-on family recipe from her mom or the ARCOS Special Bagoong which may be availed through an order on their FB page.
ARCOS Special Bagoong Is Our All-Time Fave
I first tasted this bagoong a few years back through a close mommy friend who shares the same love for Indian and native mangoes with bagoong.
Our get-together parties would always have this on the side even if sometimes our menu is basically made up of international dishes.
We would usually eat the mangoes and bagoong when we finish our meals and the taste of the desserts have left our palate.
We are great fans of ARCOS Special Bagoong that we usually buy in bulk to make sure we do not run out of it. It just goes so well with our family meals.

My husband and I like mixing it with lots of calamansi or spiced vinegar to dip our fried fish and steamed seafood. We also mix it with onions, tomatoes, and broiled eggplant for an ensalada that goes well with our inihaw na liempo and fish.
ARCOS Special Bagoong can be eaten with the pork or shrimp of our sinigang. We also use this to cook our favorite binagoongan with fried eggplant and of course with our family’s special kare-kare. Meals become more special with the bagoong dipping sauce.
ARCOS Special Bagoong Has No Preservatives
The ARCOS Special Bagoong is all-natural and has no preservatives. Unlike other bagoong of this kind, it isn’t too salty nor too sweet or spicy. It doesn’t have that fishy aftertaste you get from other commercially available brands.
ARCOS has just the right amount of flavor that blends well to give you that awesome natural goodness of the bagoong. Their special bagoong is made of shrimps cooked with tomatoes, onions, garlic, chili vinegar, and canola oil.
