This is one of our favorite dishes from Mary Grace Philipines. I don’t really know what it’s called but it’s crushed capers with tomatoes and cheese. The bread is so good. This dish goes so well with their soups.

Their cheese rolls are a fan favorite.

They glisten with granulated sugar and are soft and fluffy.

Mary Grace Owner

Mary Grace Peckson Dimacali is the person behind Mary Grace Philippines.

As a mother of five kids, she was once a stay-home mom so she could take care of her brood.

She spent a lot of time baking as she knew she had the talent for it. There was no doubt that she did. 👍

Mary Grace also wanted to find a way to make a product that Filipinos can enjoy.

She started with various baked goodies, selling them to friends and family.

Eventually, she went on to sell her baked goods in bazaars.

However, she wanted to have a product that she could sell even after the holiday season.

That’s when she thought of coming up with her very own yummy version of ensaymadas. 😍

Unlike the classic ensaymada that’s usually dense and coated in white sugar, her unique and super special ensaymada is fluffy, with a sharp quezo de bola flavor. 😋

It’s not too sweet nor is it too salty. Best of all, it’s not buttery at all.

Slowly, her ensaymadas became pretty famous but you had to order them.

They were not as accessible as the other ensaymadas in the market.

To enhance her products, Mary Grace went to the States to improve the processes of her baking.

When she came back home, she opened the first Mary Grace outlet in Gloriette 4, which was a kiosk.

To this day, it’s still there.

She then enrolled at the Asian Institute of Management (AIM) and received a master’s degree in Entrepreneurship.

From then on, there was no stopping her.

What followed next were the unique Mary Grace cafes that became home to her delicious plethora of baked goods and dishes.😍
