Potato Corner: The Best Flavored Fries

Kids love Potato Corner. I know my son does. It’s an after-school treat for him. I’m sure it’s the same for most kids. 

Now that there’s no face-to-face schooling, Potato Corner is greatly missed. Here’s our tribute to the best-flavored fries.

You can still enjoy Potato Corner these days.

Some branches still deliver. The thing is, we have gotten so used to dropping by our favorite branches.

It feels different to have Potato Corner delivered to us. Besides, it’s best eaten right after it’s cooked.

A Household Name

It’s undeniable. Potato Corner is a household name. I don’t remember NOT buying it for my son.

He would always ask for some each time he saw a Potato Corner stall in the mall.

Buying fries in Potato Corner was like a standard thing to do in the mall.

There was also a Potato Corner stall in his school canteen.

I remember he would save up his allowance so that he could buy a big size every Friday.

I still remember those days each time I would pick him up at school. He would excitedly run to the car and ask me, “Mom, can I buy Potato Corner? “

Of course, I would say yes and he would run to the canteen and I would have to wait another 30 minutes or so.

Then the school took out the Potato Corner stall but there was a new one in the gasoline station nearby. So that became our favorite stopover after school. Then the pandemic came.

All of a sudden our favorite branches disappeared.

However, as some branches disappeared, new ones appeared as well.

Now, there’s a newly opened branch near our house. 😀

Truly Pinoy

Did you know that Potato Corner is truly Pinoy? Joe Magsaysay started it almost 28 years ago.

He, together with his partners put up the first stall in Megamall. As trite as it may sound, the rest is history. 😄

Now, there are Potato Corner branches around the world.

You got to hand it to them. They took a regular product and just made it better. There was no need for them to reinvent the wheel. They just made French fries taste a lot better.

Still, I can’t help but think that I can just cook French fries at home for my son.😁

But no! It’s different if it’s Potato Corner.

There’s just something about the brand that appeals to the kids.

Now that my son is 15 years old, he still loves it.

Hence, I can pretty much say that Potato Corner has been able to maintain its quality.

What Makes Potato Corner Special

A lot of things make Potato Corner special to me. First, it reminds me of my son. Second, it offers a wide array and I mean, a super wide array of flavors.

Potato Corner offers about 25 flavors. These flavors are the following:

• Chili Barbque (the flavor sticks to your fingers. Nice to lick after 😄)
