You can skip the spoon and fork to scrape off of the fish meat from the bones.

Of course, we have our own way of cooking ginataang tilapia. We want to share it with you. Here’s how to cook ginataang tilapia our way. 😀

Here are the ingredients:

Tilapia (Of course!)

Three pieces of fresh tilapia on a plate.
Make sure they’re washed and clean.

Coconut shavings

Coconut shavings to be squeezed for milk.
You can’t cook ginataang tilapia without coconut milk. Hence, you will also be needing some coconut meat so that you can squeeze the milk from it.

Pechay and Green chilis

Ginataang tilapia is a healthy dish with peachay and green chilis.

Onion leaves

Chopped onion leaves on an orange plate.
Onion leaves to add some more flavor and color.

Place the chopped onions, garlic, and ginger in a pan. Add some vinegar and put in the pieces of tilapia.

Wait until the tilapia is almost cooked. Then add in the coconut milk.

Mix and season with pepper.

Add in the vegetables and let it simmer.
