Brief History on Edible Blooms by Maye

Flower arranging and gift-wrapping fascinate me.  On my travels as a flight attendant, I was always seen in the marches of Paris and Amsterdam.

Watching how fragrant flowers are bunched into attractive bouquets was always a delight.

When I became an urban farmer, I added a creative twist to our line. Since vegetables are what is readily available,  I decided to use them as an alternative to flowers.

How It Started

It was Valentine’s 2021 when I fashioned my very first Edible Blooms. My earliest design was a terracotta pot with a fan-shaped pandan plant surrounded by broccoli, red capsicums, and kale.

It was meant to be a vegetable centerpiece on our farm.  A guest found the veggie arrangement pretty and unique and asked if she could buy it.

Her compliments inspired me to make 10 more which completely got sold in a few hours.

One Of A Kind Designs

I guess during the pandemic, people thought it would be a good idea to give presents that are healthy, practical, and at the same time, cheer the spirit up.

If you can’t say it flowers, say it with vegetables.

My designs are one of a kind. I play around with colors and shapes until I am sure that the final design can brighten someone’s day.
